What we do
Hello! As a Peer Advisor in the English Department, my role is to offer personal advising to students. I am trained and versed in the resources available to undergrads interested in a major or minor degree in English. As a senior at UC Davis, I can offer first-hand advising as to course load, class selection, or can answer any other general questions about the English Department. Feel free to stop by or email me with any general questions. If I don’t know the answer, I can direct you to the best person who can help you..

English Club 1st General meeting
Tuesday October 30, 6-7pm. Voorhies 126
If you’re interested in discussing fun reading outside of class with other people who enjoy literature, or if you want to promote literacy in the community, or organize other events specifically for English majors, then come to the first meeting of the English club! Bring friends too. You don’t have to be an English major to join the club! Also, every officer position is open, so if you’ve been looking for that chance to get involved and take a leadership role, this is a great opportunity to do so.

Graduate school advising and
English Department Pizza Night
Tuesday November 13, 6-8pm Voorhies 126
If you’re thinking about graduate study in either creative writing or literary criticism, come to this event to learn more about the application process and about what graduate school entails. There will be a panel of both faculty and current graduate students available to answer your questions. The panel discussion will be one hour long from 6-7pm, followed by pizza and socializing from 7-8pm. Mark your calendar!
