Professor Osborn joined the UC Davis faculty as Assistant Professor in 1981 and has been Professor of English since 1994. She is the author of numerous books, articles, and reviews. Some of her most recent work includes "Translations, Versions and Illustrations (of Beowulf)," "The Real Fulk Fitzwarine's Mythical Monster Fights," Landscape of Desire, and Romancing the Goddess. Her current fields of research and teaching include Anglo-Saxon and Middle English language and literature, creative writing (poetry), Spanish, Icelandic, Old Norse, and anthropological approaches to literature.
