The bookcase that stands before you to your right as you enter the library holds the O'Connor Library's collection of faculty and emeritus publications.  Here, and just outside the library in the Recent Faculty Publications Display, is where the department proudly displays the scholarship and creativity of its faculty, past and present.  Current faculty book publications come first, followed by the book publications of emeritus faculty members; both sections are organized alphabetically by the faculty author's last name (look for anthologies and other collaborative works under the last name of the contributing UCD English Department faculty member).  In those cases in which the O'Connor library has two copies of the work, one copy joins the General Book Collection and one remains in the collection of faculty works.  After the book publications come the bookfiles that contain shorter publications from contributing faculty.  Like most of the other collections in the library, the Faculty & Emeritus Publications Collection is non-circulating.

We are grateful for the aid of our faculty members and friends in keeping this collection up-to-date.

Search Tips: Follow the guidelines for searching through the General Book Collection.  To start your search in the library and locate works of interest, search the "englibrary" catalog located on the library computer by title, author, or year, among other fields.   See Using the Computer Catalogue: Searching for Books for further guidance.  Once you have located a book reference, check the "Labels" and "Notes" sections for locations in the Faculty & Emeritus Publications Collection and the General Book Collection.
